Built on a handmade three-dimensional substrate from reclaimed materials, Encounters explores transformation through contrast. An oxidized iron surface evokes age, erosion, and the passage of time, while a field of hand-cut stained glass emerges as a luminous presence within. The sculpture suggests an unexpected meeting between earth and light—a quiet encounter where opposing materials become a unified whole.
