Ancient Echoes
Ancient Echoes reflects the enduring memory held within the earth itself. A fossil ammonite—formed over millions of years—anchors the composition, surrounded by hand-cut slate, glazed ceramic, and copper-toned glass arranged within nine painted metal mosaic niches. Together, these fragments evoke geological layers shaped by time, pressure, and transformation. The work offers a quiet meditation on deep time, reminding us that every stone carries a history far older than our own. The spiral of the ammonite suggests that the past is never truly behind us—it continues to expand outward, echoing into the present.
