Desert Sunset
Desert Sunset reflects the dramatic culmination of daylight across the Sonoran horizon. Composed of crushed orange glass tesserae, the surface gathers and refracts light much like the desert sky at day’s end, when the sun ignites the landscape in deep bands of color. Rather than a quiet fading, sunset in the desert often arrives as a final blaze of brilliance. This work captures that moment when light intensifies before giving way to evening.
