Afterglow
Afterglow explores the lingering presence of light after the day has nearly faded. Hundreds of hand-cut, hand-placed glass tesserae—including rods, beads, crushed glass, and iridescent fragments—gather and scatter light across the surface, creating subtle moments of discovery as the viewer moves around the work. Rather than simply depicting the Sonoran Desert at dusk, the mosaic evokes the atmosphere of that fleeting threshold between day and night—when warmth gently yields to evening, the first stars quietly appear, and light itself becomes memory.
