Sculptures

Dee specializes in modern abstract mosaic and mixed media art. Dee’s wall and tabletop sculptures have been in local and international juried art exhibitions. For her feminine torsos, which she calls the "sisters," she uses handmade cement-based forms as substrates, not mannequins. As she makes them, they "come to life" in the studio revealing their individual personalities through texture, color, and tesserae. They are not solid, but shell-like in shape, so are relatively lightweight.
