This artwork was created on a lightweight handmade substrate, with a smaller, thin handmade substrate, as a featured design. The main substrate consists of layers of metal coatings, with carefully sealed acid patinas. The three small squares were handmade and are treated with the same patina technique. The smaller substrate offers a 3-D, undulating effect on this wall artwork, and contains native rocks from the American Southwest, surrounded by hand cut travertine stone tesserae.
